MILKWEEDS FOR MONARCHS

Monarch buttertflies are in peril. They need help from local gardeners and their only foodplants are milkweeds. Monarch conservation organizations now recommend only planting locally native milkweed species. Narrow-leaved milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis) is the monarchs preferred choice for most of Southern California.
